Get to know the Century 21 House of Realty Rockstar of the Month - Linda Jackson.
Hello, I am Linda Jackson and I have been a broker at Century 21 House of Realty since July, 2020.
My favorite part of real estate is...
Making new friends and contacts is the best benefit of the real estate business. I enjoy helping my clients understand the real estate buying and selling process, and making them feel happy and secure with all their real estate decisions.
Before I became a REALTOR®, the most unusual or interesting job...
I had was Corporate Aluminum and Scrap Director for Anheuser-Busch, InBev directing the movement and financials of 2.6 billion lbs of aluminum can sheet in North America annually. On the Weekends or in my spare time, I’m often boating, floating, kayaking and golfing on Lake of Egypt where my husband and I are currently building our dream home in Crestwood Estates. Enjoy spending time with my neighbors who are totally “cool” and fun to hang out with. One day I would want to become a full time wine sommelier! Not really, just hope to hang out with my husband and my new West Highland Terrier.
The best sweet or salty snack is...
has yet to be determined. I love to cook and try new recipes on the smoker, the grill, ect. Not crazy about sweet things except for my husband.
The Best movie EVER was ...
wow, I am not a big TV watcher, love a good novel! The only movie that I have watched 3 times is Steele Magnolias….sad movie but shows the value of good friends in the span of a lifetime. It’s all about the people that you keep close to you.
My favorite candy is malted milk balls….I know, not a candy person.
My favorite sports teams are The Cardinals and the Detroit Red Wings.
My favorite kind of food is seafood. But if calories didn't count I could eat pizza everyday. You may see me often at these local restaurants Thai D in Marion and the Hideaway for Steaks. This store/brand has a great deal of my money years ago it was Coach purses with which I have filled my closet with. Now it is bathing suits…I float a lot on the lake!
People say I look like the women that played the mother on Tool Time…(only one mention of this, so I must be pretty unique looking.. or just look like my mother).
My favorite season is I love all the seasons….Spring for flowers, Summer for Boating fun on the lake, and Fall for the beautiful color changes in the trees. I even like a short winter for the little bit of hibernation with a good book.
My favorite part about living in Southern Illinois is Southern Illinois has so much to offer for the nature lover and outdoors person. The only thing I miss is a good 20 mile racing bike trail. I have moved to a hybrid bike and have given up doing the MS100. Maybe I will have to lobby for race bike trails in our area!
